Apprentice Artist Program

Marjorie J. Ruiz Apprentice Artists

Marjorie J. Ruiz was an educator and curriculum specialist in Richmond, VA for 30 years. As an amateur opera singer, Marjorie was passionate about classical music and a long-time lover of opera music.

This program was created in her honor, and as a means to provide young artists in the Richmond area the opportunity to work with trained classical performers.

Our hope is that this program inspires and nurtures its young artists, the same way Marjorie J. Ruiz inspired her students during her career in education.
